Gastown was the birthplace of Vancouver, being the first Downtown core in 1867. It’s position on the water, and access to the Canadian Pacific Railway, meant that it was able to prosper in trade and commerce. In 1886 it succumbed to the Great Vancouver Fire, and lost all but two of its buildings. The area was completely rebuilt and the Gastown of today is a thriving hub of technology and new media, as well as being home to numerous clothing and interior design boutiques, art galleries and film schools.
Easy Access
The building is just three blocks from Waterfront Station, the terminus point for three rapid transit SkyTrain lines, the West Coast Express commuter train, regional bus lines, and the SeaBus ferry which runs from the North Shore every 15 minutes.
